February 18, 2024 Villa de Los Mangos – Paradise We discovered Villa de Los Mangos on the website. The pictures were wonderful. I was skeptical, we had rented houses before – and pictures did not represent the actual dwelling. We arrived with our 30 year old son and 28 year old daughter. Our son is a surfer. This was our first “only the four of us” vacation. The place was absolute heaven! Tim met us upon arrival. He ensured through out our visit that every detail was taken care of. The grounds are beautifully manicured. The pool wonderful. The villa immaculate, homey and inviting. The artwork, the furnishings, the grounds – everything was perfect. Tim was always available but never intrusive. Housekeeping was great and we had the chef in twice, Fabulous. Tim has thought of everything for his guests. Thank you for a wonderful vacation and opportunity to spend quality time with our family. San Diego, CA.

VILLA DE LOS MANGOS

Tim, your house, Villa de Los Mangos is magical! Once we walked through the gate, we felt like we were in paradise! Here we let the world slip away and instantly began to unwind and relax. We could tell you put your soul into this home. The outside living space, the gardens and the pool are wonderful and peaceful. When we entered the spacious house, we found a touch of Patzcuaro, which we found special, since we live there part time. We loved the mural and other art work. All the bedrooms are tastefully decorated and comfortable. The kitchen is fully furnished, which is not always the case. The crows nest was a great area to relax as we enjoyed the sea breezes and watched the waves. We loved that the beach was so close. We discovered that the Hacienda Cafe, was just a very short walk for a cup of capuchino or other favorite beverage and food. Villa de Los Mango is truly an oasis in this little surf town of Playa La Saladita and Tim is such a wonderful, accommodating, and congenial host. The home is really as pretty as a picture with a beautiful outdoor space, including the mango shaped pool and cabana/hammock for guests to relax in and enjoy. Although we were 2 couples this would be a great place for families to vacation as well. We felt safe and welcome everywhere we went and having Tim on site, is a real bonus. We took frequent walks through the neighborhood and down the short path to the beach where you’ll find several quaint little restaurants too.
The home is very clean and the beds are super comfy. It is extremely well appointed with all the amenities you’ll need for your stay; including a genuinely sweet housekeeper (Felipa) and a groundskeeper! You can even arrange for meals to be cooked in the home, which we did, and I have to say it was some of the best food we’ve ever eaten (courtesy of Angel 😊).
There is also a new plaza just walking distance from Villa de Los Mangos. Here you’ll find a few shops including a lovely little store where you can purchase sundries for your stay as well as great handmade/homemade ice cream and pizza. It also has an upscale wine shop and an impressive restaurant in an exquisite atmosphere.
We are so lucky to have found this gem and would definitely stay here again ~

This place was amazing! Beautiful home and pool right by the beach and close to restaurants. The check in process was very straightforward and the home itself was very clean and inviting. Can’t wait to make it back for another stay!

From start to finish A+. Close to the beach, house is amazing! Host was excellent, property staff was great. Pool and patio were perfect for family gathering. Cannot recommend more highly!

We had a wonderful stay in the little piece of heaven that our family called the Mango House. Tim was so helpful and communicative too to make sure that we were comfortable at the house and enjoying all the area had to offer. What a gem. Cannot recommend enough!

Tim’s place is incredible! We had meals prepared for us that were authentic and delicious. The house and property are well maintained and very private. Easy walk down the beach to surf. Tim and his staff treated us like family. We will be back.

Hands down the best Airbnb experience I’ve ever had. Tim is a caring and gracious host with a warm soul. The space was spotless when we arrived and was so welcoming. We had home cooked dinner with Angel and Yanette every night and their cooking was spectacular! The surf was right outside the door, and retreating back to the house to avoid the afternoon heat was lovely. We will truly miss this place!.
